And we have a crib....

Beautiful cherry wood sleigh crib with all sports bedding
Crib and changing table together
Momma is SO happy!

We love it!

Mike just couldn't wait to put the changing table together after we got our carpeting installed so that's been done for about a week. But John just came over yesterday and helped with putting the crib together. It wasn't easy for Mike and John (they had a few technical difficulties), but nevertheless, we have the crib for our little guy!! And we got our matress (thanks Grandma and Grandpa Breclaw) so I got to see the layette all together!

Busy Day

Profile shot
Kind of creepy face shot

Well this morning we had the carpeting installed in the nursery and it looks AWESOME! Then Mike and I went for my 6-mo appointment and had another ultrasound. Good news--it's still a boy so we don't have to re-paint the room! :) Better news, they were able to see the head and face without difficulty and everything looks good and healthy. Baby's gestational age is 24 weeks; 2 days and he measured at 24 weeks; 3 days so growth is right on track. Baby weighs in at 1 hefty pound and 8 mighty ounces, placing him in the 40th percentile for his age. As for Mom, my weight and blood pressure were both fine so it's still smooth sailing. My next appointment is set for August 18th, at which point they test for gestational diabetes. Hopefully things will continue to go just as they should. Here's a couple of ultrasound photos.

Girls night

Alyssa, Me, and Ashley--the morning after our get-together
Alyssa and Emma
Adorable 10-month old Emma Grace

On Saturday, I got together with my old college friends Alyssa, Ashley and Morgan. It's been several months (almost a year in fact) since we were all together last so it was a really fun time. We spent the evening eating dinner at a yummy pasta restaurant in Plano called Amici's. Then we stayed up til late catching up with one another. I utilized Alyssa, who has a 10-month old daughter, as a resource for all my pregnancy questions. She also helped me set up the blog site, so thanks Alyssa!

Getting ready for Baby Ellsworth

We are definitely anxious for Baby to arrive. Right when we found out we were pregnant, we celebrated a reason to start ripping down the wallpaper in the spare bedroom across from our bedroom. After several months of looking at just wallpaper backing (still far better than what was on the walls before), we finally started working on it again. We found out we were having a little boy on June 23rd and for the next two weeks, spent a good deal of time stripping wallpaper backing, washing walls, patching walls, sanding walls and washing walls again. What a job! I knew I wouldn't be involved in the painting part of the project so I contributed by doing most of the preparation work. Mike primed and taped the walls to divide for the two colors. Then John and Sue were nice enough to come help us paint on July 5th. Sue and Mike did the painting and John put up the chair rail. It was a wonderful family collaborative effort and I am sure Baby Ellsworth will appreciate it once he sees his new room!

Pregnancy Pics!

18 weeks (just for fun)
20 weeks

I have been taking pictures each month (sometimes more often) so I can see how big my baby bump is getting. Here are the pictures as of 20 weeks. I will be taking another set of pictures this Saturday to celebrate the 6-month milestone. We will also be going back to the OB on the 21st for our 6-month appointment and a repeat ultrasound so hopefully we'll have some good new pics of Baby to share as well!

Hey hey hey!!!!

We decided to start a blog page to help us keep our family and friends up-to-date during this exciting time! We will make sure to keep it updated with pictures and important news regarding Baby Ellsworth's arrival (It will be extra fun to share pictures after we all get to meet Baby Ellsworth)!!! Please feel free to leave comments and let us know what you think! Happy bloggin!
